Harleysville, PA - CAL Sports Academy’s Competitive Basketball League has  been raising the level of play for youth to high school players in the Bucks and Montgomery County region for a number of years now. But now the Academy is taking league play to a whole new level by providing a day for the players to play basketball on the Philadelphia 76ers basketball court, and an opportunity for one lucky family to ride to the game and back in style, via a limosine!

The idea was the brain-child of CAL Sports Academy owner, Corey Lord. “I had been looking for a way to provide the players and parents with a special reward for their hard work during the season and the Philadelphia 76ers presented this opportunity, so it was perfect timing and something that no other community sports organization has been able pull off,” said Coach Lord.

Harleysville, PA – In an effort to provide relief to the country of Japan; following their recent earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disasters; CAL Sports Academy is donating proceeds from their Friday Night Basketball and Friday Night Soccer Programs for the months of April and May to the American Red Cross for Japanese Disaster Relief. CAL Sports Academy’s primary mission is to help young athletes achieve success through sports and part of that mission is sending a positive message and leading by example. As a result, CAL Sports Academy owner, Corey Lord, felt that his sports academy should lead by donating a $1.00 on behalf of every participant in his, highly successful, Friday Night Basketball and Soccer Programs to Japanese disaster relief. The disaster relief effort began at the beginning of April and will go until the end of May so that as much money as possible can be collected to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people of Japan.

Harleysville, PA – Following up on the tremendous success of his Friday Night Basketball Program, Corey Lord owner of CAL Sports Academy decided that it was time to launch a NEW Friday Night Pickup Soccer program for local youth athletes. Realizing that local youth need an affordable outlet for all of their energy and often play both basketball and soccer, Lord worked with Montgomery County Sports Performance Center to organize a Friday Night Pickup Soccer Program to compliment his Friday Night Pickup Basketball Program that takes place each Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm for boys and girls in grades 2 – 9.
